Play-doh and Ice Cream
April 1st, 2008
Hadley had a little bit of a rough night last night. Oh, wait, let me rephrase that. I am sure her night was great, but mine and Eric’s wasn’t so peaceful. Hadley woke up upset, so Eric and I both went to calm her. After a while she was fine, so we went back to bed. About an hour later I awoke to a little face right next to mine in bed, smiling saying “hi” and then “night-night.” I was too tired to stop this so she got a treat of sleeping with mom and dad. THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN. We were up before the sun was, but fortunately, Hadley was great today.
She was excited to go to the doctor for Zoey’s appointment. We found out that not much is changing, and the Doctor would like to induce Monday morning if nothing happens in the next week. Hadley was excited about listening to the baby, and wanted to know when we will bring her home.
After a lengthy nap (mine and hers) we awoke to a package sent from Nana. Hadley wanted to use everything in the box, but decided to settle with the play-doh. She loved making snakes, balls, snowmen and eventually a snail. When Eric got home the creations became much more creative and they spent some time sculpting.
We then took a quick trip to Walmart, where Hadley again was an Angel (and got a push pop as a special treat) and came home to fix Eric’s favorite supper of hamburgers with potatoes. Hadley’s favorite part was desert which was ice cream. She licked the bowl clean and was swept off to a bath shortly after, where she got to play with more new toys from Nana.
Despite our sleepless night, it turned out to be a fantastic day.
