Sleepless nights
April 5th, 2008
Well, Zoey’s first night home was a little rough. She fussed through most of the night, which made it difficult for me to sleep. It was also quite cold in the house, and it was decided that she probably felt chilly for most of the night.
Zoey and Hadley got to visit for a while with one of Eric’s old friends Sam, his fiance, Laura, and Gerry Ray. Hadley was busy most of the day with Grandma. She played outside, went for walks, did yard work and went to the park. She took a good nap (and so did I) but was worn down from all the events of the day. Hadley is also doing better potty training, although she is using it as an excuse to get out of bed at night.
Hadley got to have a special date with Grandma in the evening. She went to Songfest up at the college and watched the kids sing and dance. Hadley was very animated in telling us about it, but they didn’t stay long, because Hadley had to go potty twice in about 30 minutes. What she did see, she loved.

Zoey continued to be a sleepy little girl. She had a bit of a tummy ache this evening, and it was after I had eaten some yogurt. It appears as though she is taking after her big sister and is lactose intolerant. At least we know early, it will save us a lot of crying and long nights.
