Olympia, Camp, Duluth and more!

August 5th, 2009

Well, we have been super busy traveling for the last two weeks. I can’t say it hasn’t been fun though. I headed out to Washington to see my little brother before his deployment to Iraq. He is set to leave either on the 7th or 8th of August and they did a ceremony for the 4,000 soldiers in Chris’ brigade that are leaving from Fort Lewis, Washington. We had a fantastic time but I did miss my kiddos and Eric.

While I was away, Eric took the girls up to Duluth to spend time with Ryan, Andrea and Avery Dickinson. They did all sorts of fun activities including going to the beach, riding bikes and just causing chaos in general. Eric and Ryan went cliff jumping as they normally do.

On Sunday I met up again with the family and we headed from Duluth over to camp. The week was really fun, and we were able to reconnect with all of our old camp friends. The girls spent time doing crafts and playing games with other kids. Hadley and Zoey Belle each were well behaved, with a few meltdowns, but nothing compared to the behaviors we saw last year. The weather was cold and rainy the whole time, so there were very few opportunities to go swimming.

After coming back, we dropped the girls in Arlington to spend the weekend with Eric’s parents. Eric and I came home to participate in the York Summer Games and our team got 2nd overall. We had a lot of fun, but it is probably the most tiring thing in the world. There are about a billion pictures that document our last few weeks, so head over to check those out.
